Christian Tyler Properties (“CTP”) is pleased to announce that The Landings of Cabarrus in Kannapolis, North Carolina reached a 100 percent vaccination rate in both its staff and residents. This assisted living facility is one of four communities in the North Carolina Senior Living Project, and one of nine total senior assisted living projects that CTP has been a part of throughout Florida and North Carolina. Each CTP senior living facility in operation has received the first round of vaccines starting in January 2021 and has continued to hold regular “vaccine clinics” to curb the spread of COVID-19, protect loved ones, and keep our communities open.
According to Executive Director Debbie Hummel, the Landings of Cabarrus has not experienced an outbreak or a COVID-related death since the pandemic began. This is an incredible feat that we are proud of.
The community, despite having a 100% vaccination rate, still requires weekly COVID-19 testing, masks, social distancing, and symptom reporting. In the words of the Executive Director, “It’s for peace of mind for the families, residents, and the staff as well, that the possibility of bringing COVID into the facility is lower because everybody is vaccinated.”
